arco rei is a creative muscial project under the direction of Jacqueline May. The band features varying members for particular pieces, and focuses primarily on her original compositions.The sound combines elements of chamber music with psychedelic and other influences, including bands such as The Beatles, Talking Heads, Joni Mitchell, Joanna Newsom, Neil Young, as well as choral, African, Bulgarian, Brazilian, and Nordic traditional music.
a tiny place is the first album in this project, and was recorded at Clockright Studios in Austin, Texas, and produced by Jacqueline with Jason Richard.
